Barry Callebaut’s Global Distribution Center has a state-of-the-art warehouse and
a fully automated high bay, reaching 41 metres high. Inside, Artificial Intelligence
and robotic trolleys work seamlessly together to store and prepare chocolate to
travel the world.
The warehouse is the logistics hub for our worldwide distribution of chocolate.
Built with sustainability and efficiency in mind, you can find it only a stone’s throw
away from the E17 motorway and the Port of Antwerp. Hello, fast lane to global
chocolate satisfaction.
The uniquely sustainable chocolate warehouse covers an area of 60.000 m². That’s over 12 soccer fields of surface space.
Solar panels on the roof produce 3,950 MWh of energy, that’s the equivalent of 1.000 households. Geothermal energy beneath our feet reaches into the earth to cool and warm the building throughout the seasons. Electric charging stations and extensive cycling facilities help our employees move quickly and climate-friendly from point A to their new chocolate home.
